About the Role

ProSidian is seeking an experienced Business Writing Training Course Instructor to support the U.S. Army Reserve Command (USARC) in developing civilian leadership capabilities. This position focuses on equipping participants with the professional writing skills necessary for clear, concise, and impactful workplace communications. As a Sr. Technical Writer / Business Writing Instructor, you will be instrumental in improving the quality of written correspondence and supporting organizational objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans for "Professional Business Writing and Executive Correspondence" training.
  • Facilitate engaging classroom and virtual instruction sessions.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate writing proficiency and understanding.
  • Provide constructive coaching and feedback to participants on their written work.
  • Support curriculum updates and implement improvements based on feedback and evolving needs.
  • Integrate Learning Management Systems (LMS), audio/visual technologies, interactive exercises, and performance-based learning methodologies.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5–10+ years of professional training, facilitation, instructional delivery, or military/civilian workforce development experience.

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Instructional certifications are preferred.
  • Experience within the DOD/Military Sector is highly beneficial.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in facilitation, adult learning principles, and curriculum delivery.
  • Skills in virtual instruction and assessment techniques.
  • Expertise in business writing, grammar, and professional correspondence.

Competencies Required:

  • Leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and customer focus.

Ancillary Details:

  • Requires NACI eligibility.
  • Supports the USARC CPMO Civilian Leadership & Development Program.
  • Delivery methods include in-person and virtual.
  • Typically provides 1 Day (8 Hours) Instructor-Led Training (ILT) / Virtual Engagements.
  • Requires advanced writing mechanics, business correspondence, document organization, editing, proofreading, and document design skills.
