The Role: AEM Project Manager / Scrum Master

This remote contractor role involves serving as the Scrum Master for a full-stack scrum team focused on website delivery. You will partner closely with Web Leaders to translate web priorities into actionable work, manage scrum ceremonies, timelines, dependencies, and blockers, and keep stakeholders informed. The role requires a strong understanding of Agile workflows, AEM, and digital marketing principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scrum Leadership & Agile Delivery: Facilitate all core scrum ceremonies, maintain a consistent sprint cadence, ensure sprint work meets 'Ready' standards, and drive continuous improvement through retrospectives.
  • Project Planning & Execution: Collaborate with Leads to turn project briefs into clear delivery plans, break down requirements into sprint-ready stories, and manage the work hierarchy in Jira.
  • Backlog & Jira Ownership: Create and manage the work hierarchy (Initiatives/Epics/Stories), maintain Jira hygiene, and ensure Jira accurately reflects active and upcoming work.
  • Dependency, Risk & Blocker Management: Identify and remove blockers, track cross-team dependencies, surface risks and trade-offs, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Stakeholder Alignment & Communication: Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates, facilitate working sessions, and escalate priority conflicts.
  • Documentation & Delivery Visibility: Maintain organized project documentation and provide reporting on delivery health.
  • Team Coordination & Operating Model Adoption: Coordinate cross-functional needs, promote effective ways of working, and partner with Program Managers to adopt consistent processes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with designers, copywriters, developers, and marketing teams to execute campaigns and projects. Manage web content production and publishing schedules in AEM.
  • Forecasting & Scope Management: Maintain delivery forecasts and adjust plans as scope, capacity, or priority shifts.
  • Technical Integration: Handle third-party integrations, SEO optimization, and tracking implementation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of project management and/or Scrum Master experience in a digital product, web, or full-stack delivery environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Proven experience running Scrum ceremonies and improving team flow.
  • Proficiency with Agile workflows and Jira.
  • Knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and content strategy.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder communication and digital marketing objectives.
  • Comfort managing ambiguity, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Hands-on knowledge of online content management for various devices.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to understand dynamic enterprise workflows and processes quickly.
  • Availability to overlap at least 4 hours with the US PDT time zone working hours.
  • Fluent and efficient communication skills in English.
  • Location flexibility: candidates in Canada, Colombia, and the US are welcome.
  • For US applicants, the ability to work as an independent contractor under an LLC, C-Corp, or S-Corp.
  • Nice to have: Experience with B2B tech company websites; experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
