About the Job

We are looking for a full-time Data Product Manager to lead our energy data acquisition and protection efforts. This is a highly technical role with significant autonomy, offering a broad platform to influence the industry. You will own the critical interface where real-world utility and energy data is transformed into a reliable and efficient foundation for our engineering teams. Your primary focus will be unlocking reliable energy data across a complex network of utilities, each with unique portals, billing systems, metering, and tariff structures.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and understand utility portals, renewable energy data, system configurations, tariff structures, and customer needs.
  • Master the data exposure of each utility and map this data to our product features.
  • Author implementation-ready integration specifications with detailed edge case considerations for engineers.
  • Partner with engineering throughout the development lifecycle, managing stand-ups, answering questions, and maintaining Jira to prevent development blockages.
  • Confirm that delivered data accurately matches specifications before integration completion.
  • Proactively protect the existing integration surface area by triaging and resolving issues with live integrations.
  • Collaborate with the Data Operations team to identify recurring data quality patterns and drive systemic improvements.
  • Maintain the backlog of integration enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Serve as the company's subject-matter expert on integrations and the data they produce.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with utilities and third-party partners to resolve integration blockers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including sales and customer success, to prioritize the integration roadmap.

What We're Looking For

  • Intellectual curiosity and initiative; a proactive self-starter who seeks answers independently.
  • Technical depth in data integration, including ETL processes and various data formats.
  • A proven track record of delivering on commitments.
  • Experience writing clear specifications for engineering and documentation for operations.
  • Proficiency with AI tools to enhance data validation, workflow automation, and rapid prototyping.
  • Experience within the utility industry or energy data domain (billing, tariffs, metering, renewable energy, utility portals).
  • Must currently reside in the United States and have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • At least three years of experience in a product role for a SaaS platform that sources data from numerous third-party systems.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and stock options.
  • 401(k) match.
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • Generous parental leave.
  • Flexible vacation policy.
