Our client develops and produces high-quality specialty products for demanding industrial customers, standing for quality, innovation, and sustainable growth. We are looking to strengthen the Finance team with a dedicated Bilanzbuchhalter / Senior Accountant (m/f/d) starting as soon as possible.

Your Responsibilities

• Independent preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB.
• Support in preparing consolidated financial statements and consolidation processes within the corporate group.
• Monitoring and continuous improvement of closing and reporting processes for quality and timeliness.
• Management of central areas of financial accounting and ensuring smooth operations.
• Reconciliation of general ledger and sub-ledger accounts, including intercompany transactions.
• Acting as a competent point of contact for external auditors, consultants, and internal departments.
• Organization and support of annual financial statement, tax, and operational audits.
• Providing expert support to management on financial and accounting matters.
• Involvement in tax-related matters and the preparation of statutory reports.
• Identification and implementation of optimization potentials within financial processes.
• Further development of digital workflows, reporting tools, and automation solutions.
• Participation in company-wide projects related to Finance, Reporting, and Compliance.

Your Qualifications

• Completed degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling, or a comparable qualification, such as a certified accountant (IHK).
• Several years of practical experience in accounting, financial accounting, or financial statement preparation.
• Sound knowledge of accounting according to HGB and confident handling of annual financial statements.
• Knowledge of group accounting or consolidation processes is advantageous.
• Confident demeanor when dealing with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• User knowledge of ERP systems, ideally in the environment of modern Microsoft solutions.
• Very good skills in using Excel and a strong understanding of numbers and processes.
• Enthusiasm for digital transformation, process optimization, and modern finance organizations.
• Structured, independent, and goal-oriented way of working.
• Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a high degree of responsibility.
• Good English language skills for communication with international contacts.
