About the Payment Platform

A central payment platform is currently being developed, connecting various payment providers, acquirers, and modern payment services through a unified interface. The goal is to reduce complexity in the payment environment while creating maximum flexibility for customers and partners.

The Role: Backend Developer

For further expansion, we are looking for a Backend Developer who is eager to take on technical responsibility and actively shape a central product from the beginning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance a modern payment platform for e-commerce and POS applications.
• Conceptualize and implement scalable backend services and APIs.
• Integrate leading payment providers and payment services.
• Design robust processes for webhooks, routing, error handling, and transaction processing.
• Collaborate closely with product, architecture, security experts, and management.
• Contribute technically to the platform architecture and relevant technology decisions.
• Create technical documentation and API specifications for partners and customers.
• Ensure high quality, security, and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in backend development.
• Very good understanding of modern API architectures.
• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or comparable backend technologies.
• Ideally, knowledge in the areas of payments, FinTech, or transaction-based systems.
• Understanding of scalable cloud architectures and modern software development.
• Interest in security topics and secure software architectures.
• Independent and structured way of working.
• Very good German or English language skills.
