Sr. IT Systems Engineer

Zapier is looking for a Sr. IT Systems Engineer to join our growing team and play a direct role in implementing and improving our IT infrastructure. As a remote-first company dedicated to making work more efficient, creative, and human, you will help maintain a world-class Mac experience, streamline access management, and scale our IT infrastructure to support our global team.

About the Role

This is an exciting role where you will implement, manage, automate, and support the tools and services powering our globally distributed team. You will work closely with our Engineering, People Ops, and Security Teams. This isn't a traditional IT Helpdesk job, but providing excellent customer service for Zapier's IT needs is a key part of the role. You will help scale our IT infrastructure and processes to the next level as a service owner and be crucial to Zapier's success as we grow.

About You

• Skilled IT Systems Engineer: 3+ years of direct hands-on experience in the roll-out, maintenance, and support of an expanding IT infrastructure, with a fleet that is all macOS.
• Excellent communicator: Proficient in written communication, as it's our primary means of communication in a 100% remote team.
• Relationship-driven: Understands the importance of building and maintaining trust across the organization.
• Creative and resourceful: Adept at implementing simple and scalable IT solutions and seeing the big picture while being pragmatic.
• Solid at time management: Able to balance fast-moving projects and work with minimal supervision in a distributed team.
• Growth-oriented: Eager to make an impact in a growing company and build efficient processes.

Things You'll Do

• Okta Administration (Primary Responsibility): Implement SSO applications, manage onboarding/offboarding, and build automation workflows using Okta Workflows and Zapier.
• SaaS Spend Optimization (Core Focus Area): Implement automated workflows to monitor and enforce license utilization, identify rightsizing opportunities, build spend reporting, and partner with Finance to maximize SaaS investment value.
• Automation Development: Build tools and processes to eliminate manual work, automate user account creation, and integrate tools via API.
• IT Support Triage: Resolve IT issues and build automations for recurring request patterns.
• User Account Management: Perform provisioning and deprovisioning for onboarding/offboarding workflows.
• Infrastructure Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to IT infrastructure and tooling.
• SaaS Tool Management: Work across various tools including Google Workspace, Jira, Slack, 1Password, Zoom, etc.
• Mac Experience: Collaborate to enhance and maintain the employee Mac experience.
