About Your Role

As an AI Solutions Engineer, you will play a central role in bringing AI capabilities into production across Keylane. Your work will identify key areas where AI can deliver maximum impact for our customers and our business. You will act as Keylane's AI specialist in client conversations, helping them explore AI opportunities within their business processes and translating their needs into practical solutions that can be embedded within our software platforms. Collaborating with product teams, software engineers, architects, and other stakeholders, you will transform ideas into scalable AI capabilities that deliver measurable value.

Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and operationalizing AI-powered functionality, from intelligent assistants and retrieval-based solutions to advanced agentic workflows, across Keylane's products. Working within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, you will help establish practices for reliable and responsible AI operation, including evaluation, monitoring, testing, and performance optimization. As Keylane's data capabilities mature, you will also contribute to broader machine learning initiatives like predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and intelligent document processing. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the standards, best practices, and working methods that will underpin the future growth of AI within the organization.

About Your Team

You will collaborate with colleagues across Keylane’s product and engineering organization. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product management, architecture, and customer-facing teams, making collaboration essential for success. You will work with teams across the organization to identify opportunities, deliver solutions, and help establish best practices. This is a unique chance to influence AI adoption at Keylane and build the foundations of our future AI capabilities.

What You Bring

• Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in Applied AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field, with hands-on experience delivering AI solutions in production.
• Programming: Strong Python development skills.
• AI Frameworks: Experience with modern AI frameworks, building AI-powered applications and agents, and applying model fine-tuning techniques (e.g., instruction tuning, LoRA, QLoRA).
• Operationalization: Experience operationalizing AI solutions, including prompt management, evaluation, monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement in production.
• ML Fundamentals: Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including model evaluation, feature engineering, and statistical concepts.
• Data Skills: Experience working with data, including SQL and data preparation techniques.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Presentation: Confidence in presenting ideas, discussing solutions with customers, and translating business challenges into technical opportunities.
• Mindset: A proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure AI services.
• Familiarity with advanced model fine-tuning techniques.
• Experience with document intelligence solutions.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices.
• Experience with AI platforms and tooling.
• Experience in the insurance, pension, or other highly regulated industries.

• Salary: Monthly gross salary between €5,200 and €7,500 (based on 40 hours/week).
