Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for fixed asset accounting: from initial recording, inventory management, internal reallocations, to period-appropriate depreciation calculation.
• Appropriate demarcation between operating costs and capital expenditures with a focus on balance sheet clarity according to IFRS/HGB standards.
• Creation of meaningful fixed asset registers for reporting and analysis.
• Continuous improvement and documentation of fixed asset policies – with the responsibility to communicate these within the team.
• Leading on-site inventory checks and coordination with IT systems for conclusive inventory data.
• Active participation in audit processes and external audits – as a reliable point of contact.

Qualifications:

• Sound business administration education with a focus on accounting and financial management, or a comparable commercial qualification.
• 3 to 5 years of practical experience in financial accounting or asset management – ideally in internationally active companies.
• In-depth knowledge of German and international accounting regulations (HGB, IFRS).
• Practical experience with modern accounting and administration systems.
• Independent working style with high accuracy.
