Technical Specialist for Surface Finishing Technology & Project Management

For our client, a leading company in surface finishing with multiple plant locations in Switzerland and Southern Germany – hot-dip galvanizing, painting works, and powder coating – we are looking for a technically versatile personality to help shape the process technology in surface finishing, while also being capable of coordinating structural and plant engineering projects. You will be the interface between production, technology, and construction projects – someone who understands how a hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating plant works in detail, and who asks the right questions during renovations, new constructions, or plant optimizations, rather than just managing the construction site.

What Awaits You:

• Technical support and optimization of plant technology at multiple locations.
• Participation in development, renovation, and new construction projects for existing buildings and plants, including project and construction management, tenders, and on-site coordination.
• Interface between production requirements and structural implementation – ensuring that structural solutions truly fit the processes that will run within them.
• Coordination of construction administration, schedule planning, and supplier management when construction projects are pending.

What You Bring:

• A technical background with experience in surface finishing, electroplating technology, coating technology, or a related process engineering field – a technician or engineer qualification is advantageous, but not essential.
• Experience or a strong interest in construction and plant projects; classic construction management experience is welcome but not a requirement.
• You understand how production plants function and can translate technical requirements into structural solutions, not the other way around.
• Organizational talent, cost awareness, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
• Solid CAD skills and proficient use of MS Office.
• High willingness to travel between locations; individual models focusing on one location are possible.
• Good German language skills (spoken and written), other languages are a plus.
