About the Team:
Kraken is seeking a proactive Product Manager to join the Financial Systems product group. This role is critical for shaping and scaling the systems that underpin Kraken’s accounting, treasury, and financial operations. You will act as a key bridge between engineering, finance, treasury, and the broader product organization. This is a unique opportunity to define and establish how product management operates within Kraken’s core financial systems, setting clear ownership, vision, and ways of working in a domain that has not previously operated within a fully established product structure.

You will work closely with teams responsible for Kraken’s accounting, treasury, and financial control platforms, and partner with product owners across the organization whose products interact with Finance and Treasury. These systems are foundational to accurate financial reporting, liquidity management, regulatory compliance, and operational decision-making for crypto-native products, tokenized equities, and traditional financial instruments. You will report into the Senior Product Manager of this domain, navigating complex financial workflows, technical systems, and cross-product dependencies.

The Opportunity:

• Serve as the Product Manager for Kraken’s Financial Systems, encompassing accounting, treasury, and related financial platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering squads to foster a strong product culture and establish clear ownership in a historically project-driven area.
• Partner deeply with Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into scalable, reliable system capabilities.
• Align with product owners across the organization whose teams integrate with or depend on financial and treasury systems, ensuring clear interfaces and shared priorities.
• Work closely with developers to solve complex financial and technical challenges, ensuring accuracy, auditability, scalability, and resilience.
• Drive the end-to-end product development process, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to Kraken’s quality, reliability, and control standards.
• Contribute to strengthening the overall product group by collaborating with a globally distributed team of product managers.

Skills You Should HODL:

• Previous experience in product management or technical product management.
• Experience with complex internal systems, platforms, or enterprise software, preferably in financial services or trading environments.
• Deep understanding of financial instruments and markets (crypto assets, tokenized equities, derivatives, securities, etc.) and their lifecycle events.
• Strong knowledge of payment processes (fiat and crypto rails, settlement, clearing, reconciliation).
• Ability to confidently discuss system design, integrations, data models, and trade-offs impacting reliability and performance.
• Capability to bridge highly technical system design with financial, accounting, and treasury requirements.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with accounting systems, treasury management systems, or financial data platforms.
• Familiarity with financial controls, audits, or multi-jurisdictional regulatory reporting.
• Experience coordinating across multiple product teams with shared platform dependencies.
• Experience integrating systems across trading, payments, custody, or securities platforms.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
