What You'll Do:

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Partner with the President, CEO, and Controller to develop and execute financial strategy.
  • Provide forecasting, scenario modeling, capital planning, investment strategy, and decision support.
  • Translate financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Analyze and report on investment opportunities.
  • Align financial objectives with project performance, utilization, and growth goals.

Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting and multi-year forecasting.
  • Monitor performance against budget and forecast.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and executive reporting.
  • Support strategic planning through scenario analysis and long-range forecasting.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
  • Manage audits, tax compliance, and regulatory filings.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and governance.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and banking relationships.
  • Oversee debt facilities and covenant compliance.
  • Develop cash forecasting processes.
  • Monitor billing, collections, and receivables performance.

Technology, Systems & Process Improvement

  • Champion technology, automation, AI, analytics, and business intelligence.
  • Evaluate and optimize ERP, accounting, project management, and reporting systems.
  • Establish company-wide KPI and performance management frameworks.
  • Develop forward-looking dashboards and predictive analytics.
  • Foster a data-driven culture.
  • Lead digital transformation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop leading indicators that provide visibility into project health, resource demands, profitability, and growth opportunities.

Team Leadership & Operational Finance

  • Lead and develop controllers, project accountants, payroll, AP, and AR personnel.
  • Partner with project operations leadership on utilization, backlog reporting, WIP analysis, revenue recognition, project profitability, billable rates, resource planning, contract review, incentive plans, and overhead management.
  • Partner with the Controller to ensure reporting accuracy while maintaining a forward-looking business focus.
  • Translate historical financial results into actionable recommendations for future performance.

Risk Management & Insurance

  • Oversee insurance programs and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Support contract review from a financial perspective.
  • Coordinate with legal, banking, insurance, and advisory partners.
