Compensation & Benefits Manager (Total Rewards)

Our client, a successful company based in Frankfurt/Main, is seeking a driven Compensation & Benefits Manager to lead the strategic development and implementation of their Total Rewards framework. Fueled by organic growth and strategic acquisitions, the company requires a visionary leader to conceptualize and execute evolving HR structures.

About the Role

As a Compensation & Benefits Manager, you will be pivotal in refining and expanding the company's Total Rewards strategies. You will lead a small, dedicated team and play a key role in shaping the future of compensation and benefits within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and implement compensation strategies and policies, including fixed and variable pay.
  • Lead and develop a small, high-performing team.
  • Establish and evolve a job grading and evaluation system.
  • Ensure compliance with national legal requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and works council agreements.
  • Conduct ongoing market studies and benchmarking, analyze internal data, identify gaps, and recognize trends.
  • Initiate and lead projects, such as standardizing, implementing, or optimizing C&B systems or tools (e.g., SAP-HCM, SuccessFactors, or other systems).

Qualifications

  • Several years of professional experience and some leadership experience.
  • Experience with job grading and evaluation systems.
  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements, works council agreements, compensation, and bonus models.
  • Proficiency with HR systems/tools: e.g., SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, Excel/Power BI, and potentially salary benchmarking tools.
  • Ability to integrate and persuade stakeholders.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
