The Role

This is a full-time, remote position for someone based in Europe. You will act as the bridge between MapTiler's enterprise clients, the global open-source community, and internal Product & Platform teams. Your goal is to ensure that developers building with MapTiler have the tools, documentation, and inspiration they need to succeed.

What You Will Do:

  • Technical Onboarding & Advisory: Personally onboard strategic B2B clients, guiding them through architecture design and product adoption as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Value-Driven Growth: Monitor product usage trends to proactively help clients unlock advanced MapTiler features, driving long-term retention and expansion.
  • Community Advocacy: Represent MapTiler at global developer events and conferences, including live tech demos and presentations.
  • Technical Content Creation: Produce engaging video content, developer tutorials, and step-by-step screencasts for their website and YouTube channel.
  • Digital Engagement: Actively participate in developer spaces (GitHub, Discord, StackOverflow, Reddit, etc.) to unblock creators and answer complex technical questions.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather deep technical feedback from enterprise clients and the open-source community, working directly with Product and Platform teams to shape the roadmap.
  • Proactive Account Health & Retention: Monitor customer usage patterns and technical health indicators to proactively mitigate churn risks among high-profile enterprise and government clients.

What You Bring:

  • The Tech Baseline: Solid experience in software development, writing code, and deploying custom applications (web/mobile).
  • AI-Positive Attitude: Embrace AI tools (like GitHub Copilot, LLMs, or modern dev agents) to enhance workflow and build prototypes faster.
  • The Communicator: Energetic, empathetic communicator capable of breaking down complex technical topics for business audiences and engaging in deep-dive architectural discussions.
  • Stage & Screen Presence: Enjoy public speaking and content creation, comfortable with screen recording tools and explaining technical setups on camera.
  • The Mindset: Care about the long-term success of the developer ecosystem and enjoy helping developers solve complex problems.
  • Tools of the Trade: Comfortable tracking client health in HubSpot/Zendesk, reviewing Pull Requests, or triaging issues on GitHub.
  • Agile Methodologies: Practical experience working in or with agile software development teams (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Language: Fluent English (C1+) is essential.

  • Speaking another world language.
  • Experience in GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS, MapLibre/OpenLayers).
