About the Role

As Twilio's next Strategic Account Executive 4, you will be instrumental in managing and expanding relationships with our growth and mid-market Communications Platform customers. This role is crucial for protecting and growing Twilio's messaging, voice, and email services business within your assigned accounts. You will navigate complex, analytical, and consultative sales cycles with customers operating large-scale, global, compliance-heavy businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand key customer accounts, particularly within Regulated Verticals.
  • Develop, drive, and execute account strategies to achieve strong revenue, gross margin, and gross profit results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, finance, support, operations) to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Serve as a key member of cross-functional account teams.
  • Maintain a disciplined forecast, consistently meet goals, and provide executive-level guidance.
  • Conduct highly consultative sales cycles focused on deep customer discovery and advocacy.
  • Generate and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using Salesforce.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5 years of total sales experience, with at least 1 year in major or strategic account sales.
  • Expertise in managing quantitative, highly analytical products and solutions.
  • Proven ability in relationship management, cross-selling, up-selling, and solutions consulting.
  • Comfortable engaging with and influencing both business and technical leaders.
  • Demonstrated analytical account development strategy using data.
  • Track record of managing business forecasts and financial models.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to define processes and build programs.
  • Proven record of delivering revenue and gross profit for large-scale and enterprise customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Desired:

  • Deep experience with telecom companies (CPaaS, SMS aggregators, carriers, global communications platforms).
  • Domain expertise in quantitative industries (DevOps, Fintech, advertising optimization, investment banking, security, commodity trading).
  • Software, SaaS, CPaaS, or PaaS selling experience.

Location

  • Remote, based in the USA.

Travel

  • Approximately 20% travel is anticipated.

  • Pay ranges vary by location (e.g., Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota, Vermont: $132,192.00 - $165,240.00; Washington D.C., Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, California (outside SF Bay Area): $139,536.00 - $174,420.00; New York, New Jersey, Washington State, San Francisco Bay Area: $146,880.00 - $183,600.00).
  • Eligibility for Twilio’s equity plan.

  • Eligible to earn commissions.
