About the Role

Join our dynamic AI & Innovation Team as a Junior Python Developer. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our full-stack applications, scaling robust backend services, and building user-facing web components for our advanced AI products. Working within a close-knit, cross-functional team alongside Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Senior Engineers, this role is designed for high growth. You will learn to transition machine learning prototypes into production-ready applications serving millions, while simultaneously advancing your coding, frontend, and architecture expertise.

What You'll Do

• Fullstack Development: Write clean, testable, and efficient Python code to support core AI products and automated search/apply tools.
• Model Integration: Collaborate with Data Scientists to integrate machine learning models, LLM pipelines, and agentic frameworks into our live production stack.
• API & Data Pipelines: Build and maintain scalable APIs and data workflows for processing large volumes of job vacancy data.
• Infrastructure & DevOps: Assist in managing and optimizing our AWS infrastructure, ensuring high availability and smooth deployment processes.
• Testing & Quality: Develop robust unit and integration tests to guarantee system reliability and minimize deployment risks.

Requirements

• Experience: 1–2 years of commercial software development experience using Python.
• Location: Fully remote, requiring residency within a 2-hour timezone of London and availability for standard UK business hours.
• Right to Work: Must possess the legal right to work remotely as an independent contractor in your country of residence. Visa sponsorship is not provided.
• Communication: Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Education: A technical degree (2:1 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a highly relevant field.
• Core Coding Skills: Solid understanding of Python fundamentals and object-oriented programming.
• Execution: Proven ability to write clean, maintainable Python code deployed to live, user-facing environments.
• Databases: Good working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Cloud & Tools: Familiarity with AWS services and Git version control.
• Mindset: A curious, proactive, fast learner with a passion for solving technical challenges and enthusiasm for the AI/ML space.

Nice to Have

• Frontend Coding Skills: Familiarity with HTML, CSS (Tailwind), and React.
• AI Applications: Experience integrating LLMs into production applications and utilizing LLM coding tools.
• Browser Automation: Understanding of web scraping, DOM parsing, and tools like Playwright or Selenium.
• Portfolio: An active GitHub profile showcasing relevant projects.
