Director, Partnership Sales (Athletes Unlimited Softball League)

This full-time, remote role reports to the Chief Partnerships Officer and is responsible for leading and supporting sales efforts for the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) and other properties.

Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 annual salary + commission opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline to broaden awareness of Athletes Unlimited and the AUSL in the sponsorship marketplace.
  • Proactively identify, pitch, and close new partnership sales through existing relationships and cold outreach to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify and develop league-wide assets, programs, and packages to maximize the Athletes Unlimited value proposition for partners and prospects.
  • Establish and implement sales and new business development strategies, personally leading efforts to develop leads and close deals.
  • Attend and lead sales meetings, assist in crafting sales materials, and collaborate with internal stakeholders on assets and execution.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the sponsorship industry landscape, market trends, and key category activity across sports, lifestyle, and entertainment.
  • Maintain entries for respective accounts in the CRM system and other sales reporting tools.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of sales experience with a focus on integrated partnership development.
  • Preference for agency or property/league-level experience specific to brand partnerships.
  • Experience generating leads and closing deals with national brands/partners.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, ability to follow through, and capability to meet deadlines while balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • A candidate must be constantly innovating to help maintain Athletes Unlimited’s position as a leading creative property.
  • Solution-oriented, highly motivated, and proactive self-starter who works well as both a team member and individual contributor.
  • Willingness to travel for client interaction and to be on-site at league locations (approximately 25%).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
