Senior Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Streamline data flows from source and produce high-quality data and pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows using SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Work with data infrastructure to triage infra issues and drive to resolution, acting as a key liaison between data infrastructure and end customers.
  • Design, build, and optimize data architecture and models to support business reporting and analytics needs.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions for data-related problems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards to support financial needs.
  • Build and deliver high-quality visualization and reporting solutions for Finance business needs.
  • Design and create customized reports for new financial reconciliation needs.
  • Automate reporting for Finance using Python, Periscope, Tableau, Amplitude, and other EarnIn in-house business intelligence tools and platforms.
  • Interface with Finance, Engineering, and Analytics teams to understand data needs and deliver high-quality data products.
  • Gain familiarity with the finance domain at EarnIn and identify opportunities for process automation.
  • Take ownership of debt facility analytics and other core finance areas.
  • Build data functional expertise and own data quality for allocated areas.
  • Create quality controls on data feeds to ensure high-quality data for end products.
  • Design, build, and launch new data extraction, transformation, and loading processes in production.
  • Implement data governance practices, including data security, privacy, and compliance measures.
  • Conduct deep analysis to uncover opportunities and present recommendations to shape business strategy and operations.
  • Create project documentation for requirements, design, processing methodologies, and planned changes.
  • Provide analytical support for financial needs such as annual audits, new product revenue reporting, and external lender inquiries.
  • Act as a data and functional expert at EarnIn.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence and data analytics.
  • Identify and recommend BI and data tools for increased productivity and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Analytics-related fields.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Science.
  • 4+ years of experience in custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • 4+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
  • 4+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries and Python.
  • 4+ years of experience working with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar distributed compute systems.
  • 4+ years of experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • 4+ years of experience working with relational databases (Redshift, PostgreSQL) and big data structures.
  • 3+ years of experience with any cloud platform (e.g., AWS) and big data technology (e.g., Spark).
  • 4+ years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with finance teams is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify deliverables, gaps, and inconsistencies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Tier 1 Engineering Institute is preferred.
