At Avery Dennison, we work with the biggest brands in FMCG, Apparel, Automotive and Pharma industries. Our Distribution Center in Sant Quirze, founded in 1981, is a collaborative and dynamic environment that supports our LPM and Graphics division and employs approximately 72 talented individuals. About the Role

In this exciting role, Avery Dennison is seeking a results-oriented Account Manager to join our Team Sports commercial team in Southern Europe. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, this person will play a key role in growing sales within customers focused on serving sports leagues and clubs with customized uniforms, fanwear, and licensed sportswear gear and apparel. You will align with marketing strategies & activation assets to achieve or exceed the annual operating plan for the region. This position will also support the team by providing accurate and timely reports, trend information, and data analysis.

This is an ideal position for an insightful, motivated, high-potential person with aspirations of pursuing a future sales career in the licensing sports industry. As an Account Manager for Team Sports, you will sit at the thrilling intersection of Sports Business, Licensing, and Global Retail.

Your Responsibilities:

You may lead some or all of these daily activities to support the sales team:

Commercial Growth & Relationship Building:

  • Account Evolution: Nurture and expand relationships with key partners, clubs, and retailers focused on licensed sportswear gear, fanwear, and customized kits.
  • New Transfer Market (Prospecting): Use market intelligence and screening techniques to scout and land new accounts within the territory.
  • Negotiation: Lead commercial conversations to secure terms, confirm high-value orders, and expand our market share.

Operations:

  • Supply Chain Liaison: Bridge the gap between the customer, planning, and purchasing teams to ensure order prioritization, flawless execution, and top-tier service levels.
  • Material Forecasting: Manage material demand forecasts to ensure internal site readiness for major league rollouts and peak seasonal demands.

Marketing Management:

  • Asset Maximization: Act as a key point of contact for licensing agreements, ensuring branding, compliance, and commercial opportunities are fully leveraged.
  • Sponsorship Activation: Turn sponsorship rights into revenue, aligning marketing assets with commercial goals to boost brand visibility across Southern Europe.

Qualifications:

  • The Sports & Retail Instinct: Previous experience or strong knowledge in the retail apparel industry or licensing industry is highly preferred. A genuine passion for the Team Sports/Football industry is your unfair advantage.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: You must be sharp at analyzing data. You don’t just see numbers; you see the commercial story behind them.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish is a must. Portuguese is a plus.
  • Work Logistics: Working from home. Own B driving license is a requirement. Willingness to travel for customer and internal meetings.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and ability to independently prioritize workload.
