Job Description
We are seeking an Investor Operations Manager to oversee, manage, and support the daily operations of the Investor Operations teams and local/global initiatives, ensuring quality client service aligned with MUFG’s core values. This role will be instrumental in building out the Investor Trade Operations team in Halifax, covering deployment, training, and work migration in support of a global "follow-the-sun" model. The team will be heavily involved in implementing strategic initiatives using cutting-edge technology, including AI and digital subscription forms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and drive the build-out of the Investor Trade Ops team in Halifax, focusing on deployment, training, and migration.
- Assist senior leadership in achieving department initiatives, projects, and budget adherence.
- Support team deliverables while ensuring adherence to company and department policies and procedures for investor registration, dealing, reporting, query management, and other Investor Trade Ops tasks.
- Establish fund/client-specific Investor Trade Operations procedures, taking ownership of processes with a client-centric approach.
- Ensure team participation in process and technological initiatives, including developing processes and managing change requests.
- Manage and support the individual performance of direct reports through regular one-to-one meetings, performance discussions, career coaching, and annual reviews.
- Foster a professional environment encouraging personal and professional development.
- Collaborate and build positive partnerships with cross-functional teams (Client 360, Nexus) to ensure successful service delivery, including participating in service reviews, incident management, and risk mitigation.
- Champion team initiatives, encouraging participation, feedback, and idea generation, while staying connected with global functional teams and local management in Malaysia.

Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of operations experience in financial services, fund administration, asset management, or banking, with a minimum of 2-4 years in a managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve complex issues, providing guidance, assistance, and training as needed.
- Investor/Client service management experience.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of investor operations.
- Strong people leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills for dealing with clients, investors, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated business logic and a risk-averse approach to resource management and operations.
- Demonstrated team management experience in Investor Services, fund administration, or a related industry.
