About the Role

As a key member of Anduril’s recruiting team, you will manage the company's talent acquisition strategy during a period of rapid growth. This hands-on role involves collaborating with leaders and individual contributors to define hiring needs. You will have the autonomy and tools to execute our strategy for building and developing Anduril’s world-class team. We seek a candidate who embraces high levels of ownership, tackles all aspects of recruiting, and thrives in a small team environment where no task is too big or too small. This role focuses on software recruiting for our Space Division. The ideal candidate possesses startup, tech, and relevant domain experience.

This team member will operate independently as a subject matter expert, ensuring we recruit top-tier software talent and shape our long-term talent strategy.

This role is hybrid onsite in our Washington, DC office. This role is open to contract only with eligibility to convert.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute a fast-paced process for consistently sourcing, tracking, and managing a high volume of candidates while maintaining open communication with stakeholders.
  • Build deep trust and partnerships with business leaders to influence talent strategy and achieve hiring deliverables.
  • Foster trust through consistency and a strong operating rhythm with cross-functional stakeholders to scale and manage company growth.
  • Integrate into the business and teams to understand product positioning, market fit, technical roadmaps, and team culture.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the mission to effectively pitch the team and opportunity, attracting exceptional technical talent.
  • Track and analyze pipeline and performance data to identify opportunities and create data-driven narratives.
  • Develop recruiting strategies that support the company's long-term growth, implementing best practices for referrals and process improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in prospecting techniques and tools for information retrieval, data extraction, web-scraping, process improvement, automation, and candidate management.
  • Conduct interviews, demonstrating the ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences and achieve high interview-to-offer ratios.
  • Engage passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Boolean strings, referrals, and SOBO campaigns.
  • Provide a consistent and positive candidate experience through proactive communication and engagement throughout the recruiting process.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience recruiting and sourcing for technical roles and closing top-tier engineering talent (startup/software experience preferred).
  • 4+ years of client interaction experience, including working with Hiring Managers and Directors, defining requirements, reviewing profiles, and updating pipeline progress.
  • Experience acting in a consultative capacity, providing guidance that leads to improved outcomes and positive candidate experiences, earning the respect of peers and clients.
  • Strong understanding of the technical skills and experience required for Engineering positions.
  • Clear and effective communication with candidates to understand motivations, drivers, and organizational fit.
  • Experience managing candidate funnels and tracking progress throughout the recruitment process.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
  • Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of sourcing avenues.

  • Experience in Startup, Tech, and relevant domain experience.
  • Self-sufficient and able to work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Resilient and creative, able to face obstacles, troubleshoot, and create solutions on the fly.
  • Direct and succinct communication style, sharing information efficiently to improve collaboration and productivity, while practicing active listening.
  • High ownership and accountability, in tune with the business, and proactive in improving all aspects of the company.
  • Low ego, high curiosity, valuing learning over being right, embracing feedback, and iterating on setbacks.

Compensation

US Hourly Range: $70 – $80 USD

The salary range is an estimate based on various compensation factors, including base salary. Actual offers may vary based on experience, education, skills, and business considerations.
