Position Summary:
EarnIn is seeking a Senior-level Manager with extensive experience to lead an engineering team. As a hands-on Manager for one of our critical teams, you will contribute to the design and development of early-stage, innovative products. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners and your team to shape product direction and drive significant company growth.

This is a hybrid role based in our Bengaluru office, requiring 2 days on-site. EarnIn provides excellent benefits, including healthcare, internet/cell phone reimbursement, a learning and development stipend, and potential travel opportunities to our Palo Alto HQ. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

What You'll Do:

• Partner with product and other engineering teams to drive improvements in business metrics and build new features.
• Lead the design and implementation of new product areas and features. Break complex problems down, translate complexity into elegant design, and create high-quality, maintainable code.
• Guide your team through ambiguity and ensure technical excellence through rapid experimentation cycles.
• Drive strong execution by making pragmatic decisions, helping the team launch MVPs quickly, and iterating based on feedback.
• Lead the team through frequent pivots and evolving priorities in a fast-changing environment.
• Recruit engineers for the team and support broader recruiting efforts.
• Mentor and coach engineers on your team, helping them advance their careers by enabling them to do their best work.
• Manage cross-functional relationships to deliver high-quality products.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years of experience leading teams as a manager.
• Energized by diving into architecture, writing scalable code, solving technical problems, mentoring engineers, shaping team culture, and driving delivery. Knows when to roll up sleeves and when to empower others.
• Comfortable working with a cross-functional team of PMs, Analysts, and mobile and back-end engineers.
• Proven experience leading a team that consistently delivered high-quality output on critical infrastructure projects.
• Creative, tenacious problem solver with a get-it-done attitude.
• Takes pride in work and can inspire others.
• Ability to create and maintain a positive, healthy team environment.
• Experience in fintech or payments is a plus.
• Experience leading the design, implementation, and deployment of high-scale cross-functional payments systems.
• Familiarity with payment processors or internal financial systems is a plus.
