About the Role

Join Gameloft Indonesia, a key studio in Southeast Asia with a growing track record in developing high-quality games for a global audience. As a Lead Game Designer, you will define the design philosophy and shape the game design organization across the studio, from idea creation to scaling successful live products. This leadership role offers significant creative, organizational, and strategic influence, with the expectation to stay closely involved in influencing outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Set the standard for gameplay, UX, balancing, and player experience across all projects.
• Evolve and develop the design team, shaping how designers think, create, and collaborate to align with studio ambitions.
• Lead early-stage exploration, validate ideas, and shape concepts for successful productions.
• Provide design expertise to solve complex problems and improve quality on projects.
• Identify high-potential designers and build a strong Live Ops core for long-term game performance.
• Establish scalable processes, workflows, and best practices.
• Act as a bridge between teams and studios, ensuring alignment and collaboration with Producers and Studio Leadership.
• Represent the studio in the local game development ecosystem and enhance its industry presence.

What We Are Looking For

• 6+ years in game design, with experience as Lead or Senior GD on mobile titles.
• Shipped at least 2 successful games in a lead or senior design capacity.
• Strong mastery across gameplay systems, balancing, UI/UX, and player experience.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable direction.
• Proven leadership in guiding and motivating design teams.
• Deep understanding of the mobile game market, trends, and player behavior.
• Data-driven mindset, translating metrics and feedback into design improvements.
• Comfortable balancing long-term vision with agile execution.
• Strong English communication skills for cross-studio collaboration.

Nice to have: Experience on PC/console, technical foundation (scripting/programming), familiarity with production tools (Jira, Confluence, Miro), or a formal background in Game Design/Computer Science.
