DevOps Engineer - Sovereign Cloud

Join T-Systems as a Senior DevOps Engineer and co-create next-generation cloud solutions for the Sovereign Cloud offering, focusing on EU healthcare, security, and the public sector. You will design and implement Kubernetes-based Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings, focusing on sovereignty controls, encryption, and identity management.

This role is responsible for the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches. You will define automated configuration management, release management, build, test, and deployment activities, and provide prototypes and concepts for further automation.

Purpose:

Sovereign Cloud provides clients with high sovereignty needs, such as those in regulated sectors, complete control over their data on an open-source platform hosted in Europe. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building this new product within T-systems' international cloud portfolio.

What You Will Do:

• Design, develop, test, and implement infrastructure for CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Manage source code, configuration management, release management, build, and deployment activities.
• Set up and manage integration with partner applications.
• Conduct performance and error analyses and tuning.
• Consult and implement new innovative technologies to satisfy the innovation strategy.
• Create concepts for further automation of services, processes, and operating models.
• Directly support project teams in development, quality assurance, and release implementation.
• Continuously optimize development and system infrastructure.
• Provide consulting to project teams and develop prototypes/Proof of Concept solutions.
• Research and develop in assigned technology, determine business requirements, propose changes, and prepare implementation plans.

Qualifications:

• Secondary education in Information Technology (Master's degree preferred).
• 4 years of experience with ICT Systems.
• Expert experience with Scripting (Bash, Python).
• Expert experience with Linux Operating System.
• Intermediate experience with OTC / AWS / Azure.
• Expert experience with Docker.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD, or CKS certified).
• Expert experience with Git.
• Advanced experience with Jenkins / GitLab.
• Intermediate experience with Maven / Gradle.
• Advanced experience with Ansible / Terraform / Puppet.
• Advanced experience with ELK / Prometheus / Icinga / Jaeger / Grafana.
• Expert experience with Networking.
• Advanced experience with Security.
• Strong communication, teamwork, analytical thinking, training, and presentation skills.
• English proficiency (Upper intermediate - B2).
• Experience with Agile Methodology, Scrum, and SAFe.

Salary:

• Final salary is negotiable.
• Base salary will not be lower than €2600 bruto per month.

• Remote working is possible only within Slovakia due to European taxation regulations.
