Job Description

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches. You will define automated configuration management, release management, build, test, and deployment activities, and provide prototypes for further automation.

Project Introduction

Join our International Team to build greenfield software for a major Deutsche Telekom Group project. You will impact 30 million customers using our product to request fiber network connections and track installation progress. Our product suite includes applications and websites supporting end-to-end processes for fiber pre-ordering, ordering, installation, service management, and customer support.

Your Role

• Ensure automation of deployments, configuration management, containerization, release management, monitoring, and lifecycle support (pipelines).
• Research and develop state-of-the-art automation solutions.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, test, and implement infrastructure for CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Manage source code, configuration management, release management, build, and deployment activities.
• Set up and manage integrations with partner applications.
• Conduct performance and error analyses and troubleshooting.
• Consult and implement new technologies to align with innovation strategy.
• Create concepts for further automation of services, processes, and operating models.
• Directly support project teams in development, quality assurance, and release planning/implementation.
• Continuously optimize development and system infrastructure.
• Provide consulting to project teams and develop Proof of Concept solutions.
• Research and develop in assigned technologies, determine business requirements, propose changes, and prepare implementation plans.

Qualifications

• Secondary education in Information Technologies – Master's degree.
• 4+ years of experience with ICT Systems.
• Expert experience with Scripting (Bash, Python).
• Expert experience with Linux Operating System.
• Intermediate experience with OTC / AWS / Azure.
• Expert experience with Docker.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift.
• Expert experience with Git.
• Advanced experience with Jenkins / GitLab.
• Intermediate experience with Maven / Gradle.
• Advanced experience with Ansible / Terraform / Puppet.
• Advanced experience with ELK / Prometheus / Icinga / Jaeger / Grafana.
• Expert experience with Networking.
• Advanced experience with Security.
• Strong communication, teamwork, analytical thinking, training, and presentation skills.
• English proficiency: Upper intermediate (B2).
• Experience with Agile Methodology, Scrum, and SAFe.

Salary

• Final salary is negotiable and depends on seniority and candidate experience.
• Includes a base salary (not lower than 2600€ brutto), a variable part, and other financial benefits.
