Job Description

Purpose

Sovereign Cloud is T-Systems' specialized cloud offering designed for clients with stringent sovereignty requirements, particularly in regulated sectors like healthcare and public administration. This platform, hosted in Europe and built on open-source technology, empowers clients with complete control over their data. As a DevOps Engineer Professional for Sovereign Cloud, you will play a pivotal role in developing this new product within T-Systems' international cloud portfolio. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing a Kubernetes-based Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering, focusing on EU healthcare, security, and public sector needs. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing sovereignty controls, such as encryption, identity management, and control functions for critical aspects of the Sovereign Cloud. You will own the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Platform as Code (PaC) approaches, defining and automating configuration management, release management, build, testing, and deployment activities. You will also create prototypes and concepts to drive further automation within the assigned technology stack.

What You Will Do:

• Consult with complex delivery organizations to ensure effective value delivery for the business.
• Provide expert consulting on IT architecture and IT solutions for software projects, including the design and development of concepts.
• Design, develop, and continuously optimize Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) processes according to project requirements.
• Take responsibility for the maintenance and support of pipeline enhancements, extending the value chain, connecting pipelines to diverse platforms and infrastructures, integrating various platforms and infrastructures into the pipeline, and performing root-cause analysis of pipeline runtime errors.
• Develop continuous automation tasks across Software Lifecycle Phases to enhance process efficiency.
• Transfer and foster DevOps knowledge and culture among team and project members.
• Evaluate, integrate, and operate new technologies and tools to drive innovation in topics and concepts.
• Design and integrate IT security and safety concepts and techniques.
• Provide consulting on infrastructure compliance, requirements, and best practices.

Qualifications

You Will Succeed If You:

• Hold a Master’s degree in Information Technologies.
• Possess 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Have advanced English proficiency (C1).

IT Technical Skills:

• Kubernetes – Expert (CKA/CKAD/CKS certified)
• Programming in Golang – Expert
• Scripting (Bash, Python) – Expert

• ELK / Prometheus / Grafana – Expert
• Linux Operating System – Expert
• Experience in cloud environments / cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP, or comparable Private Cloud)

Salary

Final salary is negotiable, based on the candidate's seniority level and previous experience. In addition to a base salary, we offer a variable component and other financial benefits. The base salary will not be lower than 3,800 € gross.

Location

Please note that due to European taxation regulations, our remote working possibility is limited to within Slovakia only.
