The Basics

Tanium is looking for talented and energetic individuals to join our growing business as Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). You will work closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Channel teams. This is an environment where motivated and driven individuals can build the foundation for a long-term technology sales career. We invest in your development and provide the resources you need to succeed.

What You’ll Do

  • Schedule highly qualified meetings for field sales team members using a defined sales methodology and territory-specific strategies.
  • Partner with field sales to build and execute outbound prospecting strategies to actively develop your territory.
  • Manage marketing lead generation and follow up on inbound leads for your territory.
  • Leverage world-class tools such as Salesforce, Groove, LinkedIn Navigator, Claude AI, and Notion.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and partners to build a strong, qualified pipeline for your territory.
  • Develop expertise in cold-calling, become a Tanium expert, and learn about the competitive landscape and current market trends through trainings and enablement.
  • Build strong communication skills and learn to deliver effective reporting to the business.
  • Meet or exceed minimum weekly activity metrics: calls, emails, conversations, and meetings.
  • Work closely with your team and business partners in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Travel Requirements: 5% of time expected to travel.

The Right Candidate Will:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of Enterprise SaaS or Security experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate passion for helping customers solve pressing Security and IT needs, driving innovation and collaboration.
  • Build strong relationships across the business and become a trusted resource.
  • Work closely with a high-energy, dynamic sales team to optimize strategic sales approaches.
  • Be eager to learn, committed to continuous improvement (1% better every day), and open to feedback.
  • Possess a competitive mentality that drives you to exceed.
