The Position

As a Technical Sales Manager based in Germany, you will be instrumental in achieving sales objectives for our single-cell RNA sequencing products. This involves developing new business opportunities and managing existing customer accounts across academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors. You will collaborate closely with Field Application Scientists and other Parse team members to create and execute a strategic sales plan. Success in this role requires strong technical acumen, excellent sales skills, the ability to cultivate and manage customer relationships, and a drive to exceed targets. A deep understanding of the single-cell market and Parse's innovative products is crucial.

Territory and Travel

This role is based in Germany, covering Central and Northern Germany, with potential for expansion into nearby territories. The position requires approximately 50% travel.

Compensation

On-target commission plan is $65,000 USD annually ($16,250 per quarter). Commissions are UNCAPPED. The first quarter is guaranteed. An auto allowance is included. (The range listed is base salary only).

Responsibilities

  • Generate and manage both high-volume and large, complex sales.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and rapid experimental progress.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow repeat business through strong relationships.
  • Prospect effectively to build a robust sales pipeline for consistent quota attainment.
  • Negotiate and close deals while minimizing discounting.
  • Communicate the technical advantages of our products effectively to customers.
  • Develop and execute quarterly and yearly business plans incorporating strategic and tactical activities.
  • Prioritize and qualify inbound leads.
  • Provide management with insights on competition, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Manage the sales funnel with high accuracy.
  • Leverage the expertise of Field Application Scientists and prospecting specialists to support customers and drive sales.
  • Utilize CRM for deal management and tracking.
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge of single-cell research and related fields.
  • Forecast projected sales within your territory.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, genomics, or a related field; Master's or PhD is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of field sales experience in NGS and/or genomics-related products or services, including account management and new business development.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
  • Previous molecular biology lab experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time (locally, nationally, and internationally as needed).
  • A home office located in Central or Northern Germany.

Compensation Range

€70,000—€110,000 EUR (Base Salary)
