Marketing Analyst
Custom Surgical is revolutionizing eye care through advanced digitalization and AI tools, making diagnoses faster and more accessible to improve global eye health. Join a small, ambitious team at the intersection of hardware and software, where you'll own real outcomes and contribute to solutions used in operating rooms worldwide.
We are seeking a Marketing Analyst to take ownership of campaigns, content, and operational workflows that drive our visibility and pipeline. Reporting to the Head of Growth, you will work hands-on to execute the marketing plan across digital, events, and content channels.
This is a hands-on execution role with significant ownership. You will plan, build, run, and improve marketing initiatives. One week might involve optimizing Google Ads for a new launch, the next coordinating event logistics for ophthalmology conferences, and the next briefing content for a surgical audience. If you thrive on owning the full marketing stack and seeing your work translate directly into leads and revenue, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
Campaigns & Paid Media
- Plan and execute digital campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn, targeting surgeons, residents, and clinical decision-makers.
- Monitor campaign performance, conduct A/B tests, and optimize towards pipeline metrics (leads, MQLs, cost per acquisition).
- Build and manage segmented email campaigns and automated nurture flows in HubSpot.
Content & SEO
- Execute the content calendar, including blog posts, case studies, surgical video captions, surgeon testimonials, and product-focused landing pages.
- Own on-page SEO and contribute to keyword strategy and technical health improvements.
- Brief and review content produced by team members or external collaborators, ensuring quality and brand consistency.
Events & Conference Support
- Coordinate marketing logistics for international ophthalmology congresses (ESCRS, DOC, SICSSO, AAO, etc.), including materials, shipping, booth collateral, and lead capture setup.
- Provide on-site support at key events as needed.
- Manage post-event follow-up workflows in HubSpot.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and report weekly and monthly performance across channels: traffic, leads, conversion rates, campaign ROI.
- Maintain dashboards and flag issues or opportunities to the Head of Growth.
- Contribute to sales and marketing alignment by ensuring clean and actionable HubSpot pipeline data.
Team Coordination
- Manage day-to-day tasks with team members, providing clear project briefs and reviewing outputs.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to align messaging and support commercial priorities.
- Work cross-functionally with Product to translate technical features into marketing-ready content.
Requirements:
Required
- 2β4 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in B2B, medtech, healthtech, or a technical product company.
- Hands-on experience running paid campaigns (Google Ads required; Meta and/or LinkedIn a plus).
- Proficiency with HubSpot or a comparable CRM/marketing automation platform.
- English C1 level; other languages are a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high standard of quality.
- Based in Munich.
Preferred
- Experience marketing to healthcare professionals or in a regulated industry.
- Familiarity with SEO tools (Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar).
- Background in event coordination or congress marketing.
Benefits:
- Real ownership from day one: You will run campaigns and projects, not just support them.
- A lean, international team where your work is visible and your impact is measurable.
- Direct exposure to the medtech world: clinical content, surgical audiences, global congresses.
- Flexible working arrangements and home office options.
- Wellpass or Deutschlandticket.
- No unnecessary bureaucracy, high autonomy, fast decision-making, and direct feedback.
