Primer is building the unified infrastructure for global payments, empowering finance and payments teams with the visibility and control to reduce complexity, improve performance, and capture more revenue from a single platform. Backed by prominent investors, we are creating the essential payments layer for leading global companies.

Join our Design team as a Senior Brand Designer and own how Primer looks and feels across all brand and marketing surfaces. You will work closely with Marketing to translate strategy and launches into impactful design work. This is a hands-on, senior craft role within a deliberately high-caliber, remote-first, and globally distributed team.

What You'll Do:

• Own Primer’s brand expression across web, campaigns, product marketing, social media, events, and sales collateral.
• Evolve and extend the visual identity and brand system to scale with Primer’s growth, ensuring it remains dynamic and avoids generic templating.
• Lead creative for flagship moments, launches, campaigns, and events, from concept through to final execution.
• Partner with Marketing to transform strategy into compelling work that resonates with the target audience.
• Set and maintain a high standard of craft for all brand output, prioritizing originality and taste.
• Work fluidly across layout, typography, motion, and illustration, valuing range over narrow specialization.
• Ensure coherence between brand and product design across all touchpoints, presenting Primer as a unified company.

What We're Looking For:

Must-Haves:

• A portfolio showcasing strong brand and visual design across digital and campaign work, demonstrating range and taste.
• Proven ability to own brand work end-to-end with minimal direction.
• Deep craft expertise in typography, layout, and visual systems.
• Experience building or extending a brand system, not just executing within an existing one.
• Brand work in a technical or B2B context that proves you can make a complex category compelling.

Nice to Have:

• Motion, illustration, or web design capabilities.
• Experience with fintech, payments, or developer-facing brands.

You May Not Like It Here If:

• You find the payments infrastructure category unglamorous and are not motivated by making complex technical concepts feel exciting.
• You prefer high direction and detailed art direction for every step of your work; this role offers high autonomy and low direction.
• You prefer to specialize deeply in one area; this is a small team with a broad remit, requiring fluidity across formats and disciplines.
• You are not comfortable with a remote-first, asynchronous work environment where self-direction is essential.
