SOC Analyst L2

Join the operational core of our Managed SOC as a SOC Analyst L2. You will serve as the technical escalation point for complex security events and analysis cases, working within our dedicated SOC team.

Together with SOC Level 1, you will analyze and assess security incidents, support the detection and containment of attacks, and actively contribute to enhancing our detection and analysis capabilities.

About the Role

As a SOC Analyst L2, you will be responsible for the in-depth analysis of security alerts and incidents, providing expert support to junior analysts, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our security operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate security alerts, incidents, and complex anomalies.
• Provide technical support to SOC Level 1 for escalations and complex analysis cases.
• Correlate and analyze events from SIEM, EDR, network, and log data.
• Analyze attack patterns, vulnerabilities, and potential impacts.
• Advise on containment, mitigation, and response measures.
• Create technical assessments, situational reports, and recommendations for action.
• Develop detection logic, use cases, and analysis processes.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of processes and service quality.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• Professional experience in a SOC, CERT, or comparable operational security environment.
• Good knowledge of analyzing security events and incidents.
• Solid technical understanding in several of the following areas: Networks and protocols; Windows and/or Linux systems; Log analysis and monitoring; SIEM, EDR, or detection-related tools; Attack patterns and vulnerabilities.
• Experience with detection rules, use cases, or playbooks.
• Ability to clearly document and communicate technical matters.
• Very good German language skills.
• Team player with commitment.

Advantages:

• Experience in SOC Level 2 or comparable operational roles.
• Experience with OT, ICS, or SCADA environments.
• Knowledge of BSI, KRITIS, NIS2.
• Experience in KRITIS environments or regulated industries.
• Good English language skills.
