Backend Engineer

Your Challenge

As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the system's backend functionality, integrating applications with required systems and services, and providing clean, easy-to-use APIs for the frontend. You will ensure application functionality, performance, and scalability by writing clean, modern APIs, integrating with legacy systems, and working with databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the business logic and backend systems of the product.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers to design and develop functional, performing, and complete APIs.
• Analyze existing company software systems and integrate applications with applicable data sources.
• Write unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks.
• Develop high-quality, well-documented, and efficient code.
• Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions.

Requirements

• Experience as a backend engineer in common languages and frameworks such as Java, Node.js, Express.js, Nest.js, or any other JS framework.
• Experience in AWS.
• Experience in GraphQL.
• Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and engineering principles like SOLID.
• Significant experience writing and utilizing autonomous, service-oriented RESTful API services and performance tuning large-scale applications.
• Experience with database systems, including SQL and NoSQL stores (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Postgres).
• Ability to write effective unit, integration, and API tests. Experience integrating with JavaScript frameworks like React is a plus.
