About the Role:
The Salesforce Developer is a key technical position on the Product Development team, responsible for developing and adapting technology to Brilliant Corners’ various lines of work and programs. Reporting to the Salesforce Administrator Supervisor, you will primarily design, build, test, and maintain custom solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role emphasizes Apex programming, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and API-based integrations, with a core focus on developing, optimizing, and supporting our Experience Cloud (Community) user portal, which leverages FormAssembly for external data intake and form-based workflows. You will work collaboratively to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and well-tested Salesforce code.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, document, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, Omni-Channel flow, and flow orchestration.
- Build, configure, and maintain Brilliant Corners’ Experience Cloud (Community) user portal.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and FormAssembly.
- Design and implement REST and SOAP API integrations with internal and third-party systems.
- Write unit tests meeting Salesforce required code coverage thresholds and follow test-driven development best practices.
- Partner with Salesforce Administrators to convert configuration requirements into code-based solutions.
- Coordinate work with the Salesforce Administrator Supervisor, Product Development team, and Project Managers.
- Manage code through version control (Git/GitHub), branching strategies, and pull request workflows.
- Utilize Salesforce DX (SFDX), CLI, scratch orgs, and CI/CD pipelines for releases.
- Manage system changes without interruption to users or workflows.
- Act as a Salesforce development subject matter expert for integrations.
- Research, evaluate, and implement third-party AppExchange applications.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Develop technical documentation, field maps, data dictionaries, and integration diagrams.
- Assist with migration of legacy systems and processes into Salesforce.
- Ensure data integrity through code-level validation and secure sharing models.
- Respond to user support requests in a timely manner.
- Adhere to organizational naming conventions, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 3-5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC); working knowledge of Aura Components.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing API integrations using REST and SOAP.
- Experience building and maintaining Salesforce Experience Cloud (Community) sites.
- Hands-on experience integrating FormAssembly with Salesforce.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and at least one general-purpose language (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
- Proficiency with Salesforce DX (SFDX), CLI, sandboxes, and modern deployment tooling.
- Experience using Git and GitHub for version control.
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce security model.
- Ability to write maintainable, well-documented code with appropriate unit test coverage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Team player with positive attitude and great communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in agile and scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Platform Developer I/II certification.
- Salesforce Administrator and/or Experience Cloud Consultant certifications.
- Experience with FormAssembly’s advanced features.
- Experience with custom buildouts not dependent on standard Salesforce objects.
- Familiarity with NPSP.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and static code analysis tools.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with middleware platforms.
- Familiarity with data privacy and security frameworks (e.g., CCPA, HIPAA).
- Experience working with non-profits.
