About the Role: Sales Manager (eCommerce Payments)

This role is a pivotal position focused on sourcing new customers and developing profitable new business relationships within the mid-market eCommerce payments sector. Reporting to the Head of eCommerce Poland, Germany and Nordics, you will be instrumental in acquiring new merchants and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop profitable new business account relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Build and nurture relationships with technical, referral, and gateway partners in the region.
  • Acquire new mid-market merchants independently.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing their needs and addressing blocking points.
  • Analyze customer needs and develop end-to-end strategies from contract negotiation to activation.
  • Sustain strong relationships with existing and new clients that generate significant income.

  • Essential: Marketing and business development/sales skills; Good communication skills across various mediums (telephone, Teams, in-person).
  • Advantageous: Experience and knowledge of the market/payments industry; Knowledge of product marketing and organizational operations; Knowledge of technology and payment gateway providers; Knowledge of CRM/IT systems (e.g., Salesforce, MS 365, Seismic, Co-Pilot).
  • Training Provided: Well-developed understanding of sales methodologies.

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the payments industry, with at least 2 years in the eCommerce payments sector.
  • Fluency in written and spoken business English is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated know-how and network within the B2B payment sector.
  • Completed university studies or equivalent qualifications.
  • Very good rhetorical and analytical skills, confident appearance, strong contacts, and negotiation skills.

Control Function Disclosure

This role is designated as a ‘controlled function’ (CF 7) under Central Bank regulations. Applicants must satisfy the company regarding compliance with Fitness and Probity requirements. Due diligence may be conducted to verify qualifications and employment history.

Location Expectation

While this position is posted as remote, employees based near an office are expected to work onsite 3+ days per week to foster collaboration and team connection.
