Role Overview

Aeva is transforming autonomy with its groundbreaking 4D LiDAR sensing and perception technology, which integrates key LiDAR components onto a silicon photonics chip. We are seeking a Business Development Manager specializing in defense technology and sales to defense agencies. This remote role reports to the Senior Director of Business Development and is responsible for identifying and executing opportunities within the defense sector.

What You Will Do

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through active customer acquisition and relationship building, leveraging your existing network.
• Ensure Aeva's participation in all applicable defense agency RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFQs (Requests for Quotation).
• Collaborate with technical program management, systems engineering, and Tier 1 partners to establish effective key account teams.
• Define and negotiate unit pricing, one-time costs, and terms for development and supply agreements in conjunction with legal and finance teams.
• Serve as the primary interface and expand Aeva's partnerships with defense agencies.
• Act as the voice of the customer within Aeva to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally.

What You Have

• Required:
• 7+ years of experience in defense sales, with established relationships with prime contractors and government agencies at various levels.
• Experience in the Defense industry is required.
• Plus:
• Experience in the Automotive industry.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $135,000 - $182,700 per year. Base pay is determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, qualifications, education, and market conditions. Ranges are subject to change.
• Additional Compensation: May include equity and bonus as part of the total compensation package.
