The Role:

Drivetrain is seeking a Content Writer to join our Marketing team. This role will scale our publishing efforts across blogs, LinkedIn, Substack, and YouTube, maintaining a high standard of quality. You will take ideas, research them thoroughly, ensure substance, and transform them into clear, well-structured, and genuinely useful content for a finance audience. A key aspect of this role is depth: researching technical or dry topics with credibility to engage a smart, skeptical, and time-poor CFO.

Your value lies in your research rigor, judgment in distinguishing substance from filler, and care in ensuring content effectiveness. The ideal candidate is comfortable delving deep into unfamiliar subjects and writing about them clearly, collaborating across growth, product, and design teams to publish at volume without compromising quality.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Take ideas and topics, research them thoroughly, and turn them into clear, well-structured, useful content.
  • Write across various formats: blog posts, LinkedIn articles, Substack newsletters, and YouTube scripts.
  • Go deep on technical and finance-adjacent subjects, writing about them with credibility.
  • Help scale publishing volume while maintaining a very high bar on quality.
  • Measure content effectiveness (readership, ranking, shares) and learn from performance data.

What You'll Bring:

  • 1-3 years in content writing or editing, with a genuine care for content that performs.
  • Excellent written English with a sharp eye for clarity, structure, and tone.
  • Strong research ability: capable of digging into unfamiliar, technical topics, getting it right, and writing with depth and credibility.
  • Curiosity about business and finance, or comfort in deeply exploring dry B2B subjects consistently.
  • Highly organized and proactive; you identify and address blockers independently.
  • Eager to learn and build a long-term career in marketing.
