Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR), a leading platform connecting businesses with manufacturers, is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Design to lead a team of designers within its Strategic Product and Technology Organizations (STOs). This is a hands-on leadership role accountable for delivery, quality, and team performance, focusing on creating clear, high-quality, and executable design work.

About the Role:
As a Senior Manager of Product Design, you will lead and develop a team of designers, setting clear expectations for ownership, quality, and communication. You will be responsible for design delivery across your team, ensuring work is complete, structured, and ready for engineering. This role requires close partnership with Product and Engineering leadership to shape direction, enforce standards, and resolve ambiguity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of designers (Senior and mid-level).
• Set clear expectations for ownership, quality, and communication; hold designers accountable for outcomes.
• Own design delivery across your team (quality, pacing, predictability).
• Ensure design outputs are complete, structured, and ready for Engineering, enforcing a clear definition of done.
• Surface risks and tradeoffs early; partner with Product and Engineering to define scope and priorities.
• Ensure UX influences direction, not just reacts to requirements; resolve ambiguity and alignment issues quickly.
• Support workflows that enable AI-assisted development and drive adoption of tools that improve speed and reduce rework.
• Maintain a high bar for interaction design, usability, and consistency, ensuring alignment with design systems and accessibility standards.
• Lead design reviews focused on clarity and execution readiness.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in user research, including 2+ years managing researchers.
• Proven track record of driving product decisions through research.
• Experience working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
• Strong ability to translate insights into clear recommendations.
• Experience operating in fast-paced, product-driven environments.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Portfolio Requirement: Examples of AI-assisted workflows (e.g., AI-generated prototypes, prompt-driven design systems, AI-supported research synthesis).
• Experience with B2B, marketplace, or operational platforms.
• Experience working with design systems and component-based design.
• Exposure to AI-assisted design or development workflows.
• Experience scaling teams or processes in growing organizations.

Compensation:
The estimated base salary range for this role is $180,000-$200,000.00 annually + commission, depending on factors such as skills, experience, and location.
