About the Role

Planful is looking to grow its Sales Development team to meet increasing demand. This role is for an energetic, creative individual ready for a fast-paced, SaaS-based company. You will develop skills to filter and qualify outbound interest, generate pipeline, and help prospective customers address their business problems.

What You'll Do

  • Execute outbound activities using the Planful tech stack.
  • Conduct discussions with prospects over the phone to identify and qualify opportunities.
  • Understand finance users’ pain points, gather requirements, and correlate business value to customer needs.
  • Partner with Account Executives to strategize outbound approaches and identify opportunities in target accounts.
  • Gain an understanding of the Mid-Market (MM) industry and the value our solutions provide.
  • Achieve quarterly quota.
  • Provide Account Executives with detailed call notes to ensure opportunities are understood and next steps are clearly defined.
  • Update and maintain customer information in Salesforce.com.

Qualifications

  • 6-18 months in a Top-of-Funnel sales role preferred; SaaS or Internet industry experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Finance, Accounting, or relatable fields are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Driven, hunter mentality, detail-oriented, and a team player.
  • Self-starter with highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills; decisive and results-oriented, prepared to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Outreach is a plus.
  • Passionate about pursuing and growing a career in technology/SaaS sales.
  • History of overachieving quota in past experiences.
  • Comfortable and accountable while working remotely.
  • Proactive and eager to receive consistent coaching and continuous improvement.
