DevOps Engineer

Ohalo is a fully remote company founded in 2017 to address data chaos by providing industry-leading data discovery and classification tools like Data X-Ray. We leverage generative AI, natural language processing, and machine learning to help clients protect their data and are exploring enterprise AI solutions.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key member of our DevOps pod, focusing on improving platform deployment for clients, driving internal CI/CD processes, and designing/implementing a scalability and performance benchmarking platform for our Product Engineering team.

Location: Remote, with convenient overlap to London/GMT (approx. 4 hours daily).

You're Ready To

• Serve Engineers as your primary customers, enabling the wider Technology team to focus on core product development.
• Design, propose, and implement improvements to deployment pipelines, environment provisioning, and benchmarking solutions to simplify installation and configuration of Data X-Ray for clients and internal use.
• Collaborate with Customer Success engineers and Solution Architects to ensure client needs are met.
• Ensure applications adhere to industry best practices in deployment, logging, monitoring, and security.
• Contribute to protecting the data rights of millions of our clients' customers.

You Have

• On-the-job experience with container and deployment tools (e.g., Docker, Podman, Ansible, other IAC tools).
• Thorough understanding of networking and security fundamentals (e.g., configuring load balancers, issuing certificates, configuring VPCs).
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, Hetzner).
• Knowledge of best practices for on-premise deployment and operations (blue/green deployment, database recovery management, monitoring tools, logging).
