About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our team. This role requires expertise in Java development, AWS, database management, and batch processing. As a Java Developer, you will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining applications that meet business needs. You will work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and other developers, and support junior developers through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Java applications.
• Utilize AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Event Bus) to build and deploy cloud-based solutions, ensuring availability and scalability.
• Design, implement, and maintain database schemas, write SQL queries, and optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain batch processing systems to handle large volumes of data.
• Maintain code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to standards.
• Identify and resolve performance issues and bugs.

Requirements

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Java Developer in a product development or services environment.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and Event Bus.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), including SQL and performance troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with batch processing frameworks and tools.
• Python experience (minimum 2 years).
