About the Role

We are looking for a skillful Backend Developer to join a team working with US clients in the high-end IT market. Our tech stack is built around React, Node.js, and TypeScript. We collaborate with well-established companies and startups, tackling diverse challenges and crafting cutting-edge solutions in industries like FinTech, SportsTech, and MedTech.

You will enjoy the flexibility of working within the Polish time zone, with opportunities for remote or hybrid work, long-term contracts, and collaboration within Scrum Teams.

Your Future Tasks and Duties

• Write readable, scalable, and easy-to-maintain JS/TS code with an OOP flavor.
• Write clear documentation for delivered code and technical decisions.
• Design and modify DB structures, assessing long-term impact and trade-offs.
• Clearly communicate feasible technical solutions and propose alternative approaches.
• Support architecture decisions and the long-term technical direction of the project.
• Proactively identify technical and product risks, scope changes, and possible blockers.
• Maintain continuous contact with the client, fostering a good relationship.
• Provide clients with possible options and solutions, along with necessary context in difficult situations.
• Act as a leader in Backend development, staying on top of trends, sharing knowledge, and aiming for best-quality solutions.
• Provide thoughtful peer code reviews and raise engineering standards across the team.

About You - Tech Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of commercial experience in Node.js.
• Deep knowledge of at least one Node.js backend framework (e.g., Express.js, NestJS, Fastify) with experience in advanced, production-grade solutions.
• Proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure REST APIs; familiar with GraphQL.
• Usage experience with Docker (preparing, debugging, connecting local environments).
• Worked within an AWS stack (S3, Cognito, SNS, SQS, etc.) in production or production-like systems.
• Worked with SQL/NoSQL databases, including integration and design, using ORM or query builder tools (e.g., Prisma, Knex).
• Experienced with TypeScript.
• Experienced in designing and building AI-powered applications or features using AI/LLM tools, APIs, embeddings, vector search, or prompt/context optimization.
• Utilize AI tools in daily engineering work to improve delivery, research, debugging, code quality, and technical decision-making, understanding their limitations and risks.
• Able to connect technical decisions with product and business goals, proactively identify risks, and propose scalable, maintainable solutions.

About You - Soft Skills

• English level B2/C1 for cooperation with American clients.
• Polish level C1 for easy communication within the team.
• Open-minded to new challenges (different frameworks, etc.).
• Understand the significance of MVP and aim to deliver top-notch results even amid tight project timelines.
• Communicate with the team to efficiently translate business complexities into solutions.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships.
• Share expertise with other team members.
• Ability to adapt to various situations and requirements.
