About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Data Scientist to join our growing team. In this role, you will tackle challenging problems, leveraging your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling to drive significant impact across Quora's products and platforms. You will work on complex datasets, develop innovative solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the future of knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover insights and drive product decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and research teams to solve challenging problems.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the growth of the data science practice.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong portfolio of impactful projects.
• Expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and SQL.
• Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
