About Aurivian

Aurivian is a Shopware agency based in Karlsruhe. We develop, operate, and optimize eCommerce solutions based on Shopware 6 for medium-sized retailers in the DACH region. We are a small team and aim to grow, which is why we are looking for reinforcement in the infrastructure area.

Your Role

As a Platform & Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of our technical platform. You will ensure that our customer shops run stably, performantly, and securely, expand our CI/CD structures, and relieve the development team of infrastructure and security topics.

Currently, our customer shops run on Hetzner and other cloud hosting partners. In the medium term, we also want to offer Shopware PaaS (based on Upsun) and Shopware PaaS Native (based on AWS). You will drive this development together with us.

Our infrastructure area is currently a greenfield project. This gives you the opportunity to actively shape architecture, processes, and tooling, rather than just managing existing structures. You will work independently and coordinate directly with management and development leadership on strategic topics.

Your Responsibilities

• Configuration and operation of our cloud and server infrastructure for customer shops.
• Setup of a Shopware PaaS offering based on Upsun (medium-term, AWS is also possible).
• Administration and optimization of hosting environments, clusters, and deployments.
• Setup and further development of CI/CD workflows.
• Monitoring, logging, and reporting of system health.
• Performance optimization in the e-commerce context.
• Implementation and further development of IT security measures (e.g., DNS, Zero Trust, access concepts).
• Management of internal IT systems (MDM, Entra ID, hardware, software).
• Automation of recurring processes.
• Close coordination with the development team on architectural and infrastructure decisions.

Your Profile

• 2 to 5 years of experience in operating web and cloud infrastructures.
• Solid Linux server administration.
• Practical experience with Docker and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or comparable).
• Experience with Git-based workflows.
• Understanding of web performance, security, and scaling.
• Ideally, experience in the e-commerce or SaaS environment.
• Structured, independent way of working.
• Good German (written and spoken) (Level B2+).

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with Shopware 6 or a comparable PHP e-commerce system.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with Upsun, Platform.sh, or Kubernetes.
• AWS certifications.
