Your Role and Responsibilities:
Join our IT Security team as a dedicated working student to gain practical experience in information security. You will assist in critical security operations and contribute to the development of our security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with risk analyses and vulnerability assessments.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with ISO 27001 / BSI IT-Grundschutz.
  • Assist with the implementation of Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems.
  • Help create and update security policies and concepts.
  • Analyze and evaluate security events and log data (SIEM).
  • Assist with penetration tests and vulnerability scans.
  • Support employee security awareness training.
  • Research and compile information on current threat landscapes and CVEs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Enrolled student in Computer Science, IT Security, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
  • Basic knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN) and operating systems (Windows, macOS).
  • Interest in current cybersecurity topics and trends.
  • Analytical mindset with a structured and meticulous approach.
  • Good command of German; written and spoken English proficiency required.
  • Understanding of common security standards (ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz) is a plus.
  • Initial practical experience (e.g., CTFs, certifications like CompTIA Security+, personal projects) is a plus.
  • Ability to occasionally join in-person meetings in Berlin or Freiburg.

Legal Information:
