About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Platform Tech Lead to join our team on a contract basis. You will play a crucial role in leading the team through technical challenges, supporting the platform owner with work estimation and stakeholder management, and acting as the technical front for the Managed Kubernetes Platform. This role involves strategic development for the platform and contributing to our multi-cloud initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrable Kubernetes and Cloud Native experience, including building, configuring, and extending Kubernetes platforms.
• Proficiency in automation scripting using languages such as Terraform and Python.
• Experience working with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and continuous testing tools.
• Experience with Kubernetes resource configuration tooling (Helm, Kustomize, kpt).
• Experience working within an Agile environment.
• Programming experience in Python or Go.
• Strong technical knowledge of GoLang (our environment is 80% written in GoLang).
• Deep understanding of the Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Ability to quickly acquire new skills and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the team through technical challenges.
• Assist the platform owner with work estimation and stakeholder management.
• Serve as the technical front for the Managed Kubernetes Platform, supporting customer queries.
• Be involved in strategic developments for the platform.
• Contribute to our journey towards making the platform multi-cloud.
