About the Role

We are seeking a versatile DevOps Engineer with strong Python skills to help scale our infrastructure and operations. This is a "wear many hats" role perfect for a proactive individual thriving in a fast-paced, distributed, remote-first environment. You will maintain and evolve our AWS infrastructure, develop automation, manage the provisioning and release process, and build internal tools. You'll also play a key role in managing security policies and ensuring customer compliance. This role requires availability for releases, potentially including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve existing AWS infrastructure for production and development environments.
• Develop automation and purpose-specific applications and integrations.
• Assist with and lead the provisioning system and software release process.
• Develop internal tools using Python, FastAPI, nicegui, PostgreSQL, Vue.js, Ansible, and other relevant technologies.
• Manage security policies and assist with customer security compliance.
• Support a remote-first culture through robust and reliable systems.

Requirements

• Python: Strong experience in Python development (libraries, services, not just backend APIs); experience delivering Python modules across different environments.
• AWS: Strong experience with AWS infrastructure management, configuration, deployment, and monitoring (AWS Dashboard and CLI).
• Problem Solving: Capacity for identifying problems and proposing effective solutions.
• Independence: Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Communication: Excellent asynchronous communication skills and self-management.
• Scalability: Experience building scalable systems from the ground up.
• Security: Comfortable with security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Adaptability: Willingness to wear multiple hats and tackle diverse challenges.
• Availability: Must be available to work during releases, which may include weekends.
• Linux: Experience in a Linux environment.

Nice to Have

• Salesforce Admin/Dev Experience.
