Position: Physician Assistant (PT)
Hours: 48 hours per pay period
Location: Miami County Surgeons
Summary:
The Physician Assistant (PA) must practice in accordance with the rules adopted by the Ohio Medical Board, the Revised Code, and institutional policies and procedures. The PA role is developed in relation to the specialty population of practice and reflects the scope and standards of their specialty, licensing board, and certifying organization (NCCPA). The PA is accountable for maintaining competence through continuing education and practice review. PA roles include practitioner, researcher, consultant, and patient advocate for individuals, groups, and communities.
Nature and Scope:
The PA should demonstrate skill in applying and modifying medical principles, methods, and techniques to provide ongoing patient care. You should possess knowledge of professional medical practice, enabling you to provide and evaluate patient care. Competency in taking medical histories, assessing patient conditions, and interpreting medical findings is essential. The PA must maintain quality assurance and quality control standards and implement effective communication skills with both patients and colleagues, ensuring a commitment to providing an excellent patient experience. Reacting calmly and effectively in emergency situations is expected.
