Our team, currently around 13 members, spans Brand Design, Product Design, and Research, working closely with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality experiences.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our new AI team, focused on shaping and shipping a reimagined way of capturing work and growth, aligned with managers and business objectives. This role operates on a new, experimental team at Lattice, exploring what AI looks like when truly integrated into how managers, employees, and HR leaders perform their best work. You will be instrumental in building this future, rethinking traditional roles and flexing into whatever the work requires. This is an ideal role for designers who are experimental, energized by ambiguity, and want to help bring our AI vision to life, both within Lattice and in the tools we integrate with. You will think across multiple personas, focus on creating exceptional AI-guided user experiences, and contribute to a cohesive system for AI experiences across the product. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and customers to deliver experiences that are loveable, measurable, and scalable. Additionally, you will collaborate with engineering to craft and fine-tune AI outputs to align with the ideal user experience and work with designers across teams to ensure AI strengthens, rather than fragments, the jobs our customers are already doing.

What You'll Do:

• Shape and ship AI-native product experiences, focusing on capturing work and growth.
• Contribute to a new, experimental AI team focused on integrating AI into core HR and management workflows.
• Design for AI-powered experiences (chat, agents, AI-assisted workflows) and adjacent domains with unpredictable outputs.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and customers to deliver scalable and measurable AI experiences.
• Partner with engineering to craft and fine-tune AI outputs, ensuring quality, tone, and formatting.
• Develop a strong understanding of the entire Lattice product suite and ensure AI experiences are cohesive.

What You'll Bring:

• AI Design Skills:
• 3 to 5+ years of product design experience, with significant time spent designing and shipping AI-powered experiences or adjacent domains.
• A 0→1 mindset with a customer-centric approach, comfortable forming hypotheses, prototyping, validating, and iterating.
• Curiosity and a drive to figure things out, staying updated on AI trends and experimenting with new tools and patterns.
• Self-starting ability in ambiguous environments, comfortable driving discovery and synthesis.
• Ability to think across multiple personas (managers, employees, admins, HR leaders).
• Experience designing for non-deterministic systems, including patterns for trust, graceful failure, output formatting, tone, and latency.
• A point of view on AI voice, tone, and persona for consistency.
• Core Design Skills:
• Experience designing complex, multi-product workflows and integrating AI augmentation.
• Strong UX craft, problem-shaping, and ability to build clear mental models.
• Advanced visual and interaction design skills, with a strong command of typography, hierarchy, and responsive layouts.
• Proven success working with established design systems and building new components where needed.
• Strong grasp of front-end implementation and collaboration with engineering.
• Communication & Collaboration Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and proactive partner for Product and Engineering.
• Enjoys giving and receiving design feedback.
• AI Tooling Skills & Flexibility:
• Builder mindset, comfortable prototyping and using modern AI tools.
• Interest in applying AI tooling to the design process.

Very Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience shipping AI-native products at significant scale.
• Experience in a hybrid role (Design & Product, or Design & Eng).
• Experience in B2B SaaS.
• Background or formal education in Graphic or Product Design.
• Proficiency in front-end HTML and CSS or strong understanding.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Estimated Annual Cash Salary: $136,000.00 - $170,000.00
