Job Description: Estimator / Senior Estimator (Infrastructure)

Due to continued demand and ambitious growth plans, Turner & Townsend is recruiting Estimators and Senior Estimators with proven experience in the Infrastructure sector (Rail, Highways, Power, Marine, Water, or Utilities). Opportunities are available in our Birmingham and Nottingham offices, supporting a wide range of major programs. You will provide critical estimating and commercial intelligence outputs to clients, supporting their decision-making processes. Work can be performed as an embedded resource or through ad-hoc projects within our Estimating Hub. While predominantly serving regional clients, there's potential for remote work on national and international projects.

Your Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects in a timely and efficient manner.
• Control and manage the estimating process at the project level.
• Independently produce estimates without direct supervision.
• Assist in gathering and sharing estimating data.
• Support the development and promotion of good estimating practices within Turner & Townsend.
• Assist in achieving departmental objectives.
• Stay current with developments in your technical area to provide best-practice advice aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
• Successful track record of providing estimating and/or QS services in a large project environment.
• Previous experience working with estimating software packages.
• Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status, or working towards it.
• Desirable: Membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
