Estimator / Senior Estimator (Infrastructure)

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 employees in more than 60 countries, is seeking experienced Estimators and Senior Estimators to join their growing team. This role is crucial in supporting clients across the Infrastructure sector (Rail, Airports, Highways, Power, Water, or Utilities) by providing essential estimating outputs for decision-making.

About the Role

As an Estimator or Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting clients, either as an embedded resource within their organization or through the Turner & Townsend Estimating Hub. While the focus is on UK-based clients, there are opportunities to work on international projects remotely from the UK. You will be responsible for producing accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans, managing the estimating process, and promoting best practices within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects in a timely and efficient manner.
• Control and management of the estimating process at project level.
• Production of estimates without management or supervision.
• Supporting the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
• Assisting in the achievement of departmental objectives.
• Staying abreast of developments within your technical area of expertise to provide best practice advice.

Outputs Provided to Clients

• Estimate Production (from Order of Magnitude to detailed estimates built from first principles)
• Estimating Assurance
• Estimating Support to Major Programme Set up
• Estimating Data

Qualifications

• Qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
• Relevant successful experience of providing estimating and/or QS services in a large project environment.
• Previous experience working with estimating software packages.
• Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or working towards it.
• Desirable: Membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
