About the Role
This role is within Experian's global finance team, focusing on providing both functional and technical solutions for our Oracle ERP system. You will be responsible for the delivery of changes across various Oracle modules and contribute to the enhancement of Experian's global business processes.
Responsibilities (Functional)
- Provide functional design and configuration solutions to support Experian’s global business processes.
- Assist in building and updating Experian’s global business processes.
- Deliver changes within the following Oracle modules: Accounts Receivables, Advance Collections, Receivables, Service Contracts, Advanced Pricing, Inventory, Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).
- Prepare comprehensive documentation including configuration guides (BR100), requirements (RD50), functional designs (MD50), conversion specifications (CV40), test scripts, and training manuals.
- Conduct impact analyses for changes, including patches, scripts, data fixes, and change requests.
- Identify and propose technical and functional process improvements.
- Generate thorough test plans for patches, break fixes, and change requests to ensure comprehensiveness and relevance.
Responsibilities (Technical)
- Deliver technical RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows) components that adhere to Experian's custom build standards, meet user expectations, perform within benchmarks, and align with global processes.
- Prepare technical design documents (MD70), conversion specifications (CV60), deployment plans (MD120), and unit test scripts.
- Manage the deployment and release of technical changes across all environments, from Development to Production.
- Communicate effectively with peers across different tracks to ensure a comprehensive understanding of development efforts and to share common RICEW objects.
- Provide support for Production issues, assist in R&D, and share knowledge to enhance service levels.
- Conduct code reviews for Change Requests (CRs) delivered by other technical team members.
Responsibilities (Process)
- Operate within a global DevOps environment, concurrently managing Change Requests (CRs) and Production incident resolution.
- Utilize either traditional waterfall or agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) for CR/Project delivery based on business requirements.
- Provide peer approvals for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production deployments of CRs.
- Adhere to global processes for incident triage and resolution, including a follow-the-sun model.
- Contribute positively to regular team meetings to enhance application quality and foster team knowledge and expertise.
Required Knowledge
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS preferred.
- Significant Oracle Applications R12 development experience.
- Experience with Financial modules including General Ledger, Assets, Cash Management, AGIS, and CEA.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF), including creating, extending, and deploying OAF pages, and personalizing Core and OAF pages.
- Proficiency with Oracle Forms, Reports, and BI Publisher tools.
- Experience configuring WebADI.
- Experience in Oracle Workflow design and development.
- Familiarity with Oracle Approvals Management (AME) and Oracle Alerts.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Application Object Library (AOL) functionalities.
- Unix Shell scripting experience.
- Experience using version control and code promotion tools (e.g., BitBucket, Jenkins).
- Experience using incident and change tracking software (e.g., ServiceNow).
- A minimum of 10 years of IT development experience in large Oracle ERP implementations or support environments.
Qualifications
- Computer Science/Software Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Proven Oracle Applications R12 development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Financials modules (General Ledger, Assets, Cash Management, AGIS, CEA).
- Proficiency with Oracle Forms, Reports, and BI Publisher.
- Strong experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF), including page development and personalization.
